The Chapter will strive:

To improve the professional competence & standards of performance of
its members in all phases of personnel administration.

To encourage & facilitate the exchange of ideas & information
among members.

To actively support or oppose legislation of other matters based on
employer needs & professional goals.
4. To support the goals & purpose of the Society for Human Resource Management.

Chapter Recognition--The Tri-State Society for Human Resource Management Receives Distinguished AwardThe Society for Human Resource Management (SHRM) in Alexandria, VA has awarded the Superior Merit Chapter designation to the Tri-State Society for Human Resource Management for its scope of work in perpetuating and supporting the mission of the organization in 2006. The Society for Human Resource Management (SHRM) is the world’s largest association devoted to human resource management. Representing more than 200,000 individual members, the Society’s mission is both to serve the needs of human resource professionals and to advance the human resources profession. Founded in 1948, SHRM currently has more than 550 affiliated chapters within the United States and members in more than 100 countries. “By achieving Superior Merit designation, Tri-State SHRM has distinguished itself as an outstanding organization dedicated to serving the networking and professional development needs of its members and to the advancement of the human resources profession” noted Keith J. Greene, SPHR, Vice President for Member Relations for SHRM. The Tri-State Society for Human Resource Management receives a Certificate of Recognition, a specialized banner to display at its meetings and events, and is being recognized in SHRM’s publications and at its conferences. Tri-State SHRM is actively involved in the educational environment, promoting increased career education alternatives in the school system combined with HR specific scholarship initiatives in colleges throughout the area.
